Adelaide Footy League Talk

Postby dont think do » Sat Mar 10, 2007 8:39 am

Well looks like some fun around here from Roo land.

As for CLG, 2 things,

If you thing $6,000 is a lot for a coach then you cant expect much from your coach.

If clubs are after a coach (and not a recruiter) they need to start planning pre-season, attend training twice a week for at least 32 weeks of the year, spend around 10 hours at the ground on game day (watch the B grade, then the A's and then back to the club for Pres)

Being a coach has a greater drain on your time than being a player, you cant miss training once, you have to go back to the club, and you have to get to the game early to watch the B grade.

Add up the hours see what its worth.

With Havery we will see as he will need coaching/ managing. Young strong player not afraid of giving it out, but needs to keep his mind on the job. If you play him at Full Back its will be a waste, CHB when you are in trouble and CHF (in the 50) when you are going well)

I think you will find that his problems for leaving Cove are off field matters. At one point last year Cove had a forum on thier web site that got closed down due to the crap it caused about him.

If he learns to play footy, he would be far to good for this grade.

Don't mean to be rude Scott, but how do you know you're a very well coached team?
You've dropped back to div 7 from div 6. You haven't had any trial games yet...bit early to be making that pronouncement yeah?

do you guys seriously beleive all the trash talk on here?

where do we get all our money from?

Scott, if you have read any of FM's posts you can see that hes taking the piss. Hes just dropping the line in for a bit. As for the rest, at the moment your the new blackfriars of the division which you have managed to bring upon yourself. You came out saying how well you have recurited (and yes getting in 7 - 10 midfielders, a ruckmen, CHF etc is pretty much recurity a new team) and how well you guys are going to go, and this is all before a ball has been bounce (thrown up). That in a nutshel is why you see alot of trash talking headed your way.

I realise that you might be younger than a few other blokes going around, but one thing that you might learn is unless you have the runs on the board, you might want to pipe down for a bit. Because at the moment, your becoming the team that people are going to want to beat at all costs.

Just my two cents, maybe you should take some of that on board.

Ahh you got in there before me there dogwatcher, that was pretty much exactly what I was going to say. Wait unitl round 4 or 5 before you start saying you are well coached.

In all fairness to Lizzy - Stevo's had a crack at every man on his dog in two posts, so he's probably entitled to have an opinion. Just as Stevo is about us.

And Stevo- which results should I be looking for in the paper? Court reports? Funny pages? Or should I wait until the footy season actually starts?

The guy just comes on here first post and tees off at every one. I know ur not at Paralowie this year but i wouldnt want some dude coming on here and airing out the dirty laundry of my football club.
Obviously Paralowie has some major poliutical issues that keep your club wallowing in Div 7, why continue infighting in a public place like this??
