Went to have a Look at the Portland V Blackfriars game Sat.
Dont know if Portland are Red Hot or the Hounds are Cold, but
i think the 120 odd point loss cant be to good for the Hounds.
Welcome to Div 5!

Is there any other feedback from div 5 trials on the weekend, Kenilworth played Hectorville and Smithfield played Salisbury West, any news from these games?

I heard the opposite Lightning that Greenies had picked up a few from Kilburn... I'm not sure if they had a few out (i know south were missing only a couple) but they looked very very ordinary considering they are playing for points next week...

That was the impression I had aswell, there has been talk of a few going back to Kilburn, I guess we can't read too much into things until the real season starts, I'm sure there will be plenty of gossip flying around this week too.

heccies beat kenilworth by 5 goals..good trial but heccies to strong in the big man department and generally looked like a group who had played together for a while..heccies looked to good for div 6..will have a good year imo and the team to beat

greenies picked up 12 or so from kilburn late last year but rumour says 4-6 went back last month..they lost by 25 goals in A Grade v sth Gawler?..is that right?

bulldog: how did u go last week v clg?

We had a good hitout against Salisbury West on the weekend. Good day out with U/18's, B's and finally with the A's.

Thanks. I was hoping to catch them between a wedding and a reception. But I'm not in that part of town. Shame.

My thoughts exactly
Game of the week (outside of GG of course  ) would be plympton vs blacks i reckon. How good are the plympton kids?? How are blacks going to go losing the players they have??

Its interesting, Salisbury were quite a bit ahead of us (Portland) last year, and they lose to GG, while we beat Blacks. Just goes to show that trial game form is very hard to gauge. Blacks did appear to have a bit of depth, their B grade only went down by a few points.

Sometimes it's too hard to gauge. Last year we only beat Elizabeth by a goal in a trial, with almost a full-strength team. We ended up winning Div 4 and they missed Div 5 finals. Really hard to get any sort of form-guide.
