Thanks to Elizabeth for hosting the trials yesterday. Good hit outs for both clubs.

The A grade certainly have some big bodies. They jumped us in the first qtr hit their targets up forward and set up well around the clearances. They did tire quickly though but finished the game well and should be more than competitive in Div 4 especially if Richie can stay fit and Switala can play a few games after his injury.

Was good to have a beer after the game and have a chat to the locals as well. Seems like a good club!

Where's the famous Robbo playing this season? If I'm correct his latest club was Pluteney and was at Salisbury West and also spent time at a few others before that (Greenacres being one of them)?

Could be a bit early to write Scotch off with having them finishing ninth after they beat
Mitcham in both A’s and B’s on Saturday and after Mitcham beat Walkerville the week before.
My spies tell me that apparently Scotch have got about half a new team including at least one ex SANFL player and 2 ex guns back with them[/quote]

Not that this matters but Mitcham got up just from what i have heard.
I cant speak about there team due to playing cricket but apparently they looked good with a few new players. So Scotch may surprise come the season but time will tell.

Lots of good memories playing in Grand Finals on Salisbury oval.
I have heard this hitting the rounds this week.
Saluisbury Oval won't be moving anywhere I wouldn't think mate, regardles of what the NDCC choose to do. There has just been huge investments made with brand new, SACA-standard lights put in, with upgrades to the scoreboard and possibly changerooms/grandstand/toilets in the next couple of years. Plus the fact it's the heart of the recreation precinct with St Jays Rec Centre, the Bowling Club and the Croquet Club, wouldn't seem like a logical move to take it out on that basis either.

I hope not. Beautiful ground to play finals on (I might be a bit biased playing in 2 premierships on it lol) but was something that I heard from someone that I would consider to have his finger on the pulse generally speaking

I'm like you, have found memories of salisbury oval, played one gae on it for one premiership! The oval was a beauty though

Trip to Willunga went well. Thanks to all concerned at willunga for the the day they looked after us very well. Not so good for pag, he is getting back to the pag of old but rolled an ankle and will miss a few i think. For the record not that it matters b grade got up by a goal.A grade willunga by 8 goals. Bloody competetive game lots of pressure around the footy but willunga's class and better kicking the difference.Think Salisbury would be happy with a couple of lads that were not in there thinking a few weeks ago went well against some good players. Just a side note its a big bloody hill that runs across the ground i think it would be a big advantage to willunga every 2nd week.

Saw a little bit of Westminster training tonight.
Looked to have solid numbers given they only have 2 sides.
Seems like they have picked up a few older key position players.
Overall the group looked like they lacked pace and foot skills, but had reasonable size.

strongly doubt that, havent seen WOS in the last 2 yrs but the 2 previous years before that they was always young team, pretty close knit from what i heard and seen! would be very suprice if they split up!
