I would much rather play B grade football at a club that is going somewhere and a club where you earn your spot every week then play at a cellar dwelling club that will only go down from here. He can play 300 a grade games in div 7, I will always regard myself a better footballer. I'll continue to test the depths of higher divisions over getting an easy kick in Division 35

what about if you play C grade in a A grade comp?? does that mean your an A grader???[/quote]
Exactly right, to many CU players think they absolute Superstars yet they play against better 'c' grade players who coincidentally are from clubs from higher divisions!!!

Wasn't Greenacres getting embarresed by 40 goals week in/week out 5-6 years ago in division 5? When was the last A grade flag Greenacres won and when was the last one CU won? Funny how footy goes around in circles....

If it wasnt for North Adelaide and the Grand Northern, i wonder whether Greenacres would even still be around today?! I think they fell to as low as div 6 and were getting touched up by in excess of 200 points each week. Oh how quickly people forget ;)

.. in fact if memory serves Mr M i reckon you even played a couple of B grade / C grade games out there at that time before jumping ship am i wrong?

Last one CU won was in 05 or 06 against Greenacres.. and you know where both clubs are now. Greenacres had a shocking few years but they always had a fighting attitude and good staff. CU players stab each other in the back and infighting is rife.

God, here we go again. The same arguement from everyone... Should Greenacres have knocked NA back?? Without North Adelaides help we will never know wether they would still be around. Assume what you like. History is history. We play for today dont we... and today CU are struggling in Division 7 whilst Greenacres are reaping the reward of hard work in Div 4... Jumped ship? I played 4 or 5 games. Sat the rest of the 2003 season out and cleared to Kilburn where I also didnt play in a winning game for 2 years.. Going to question my commitment or accuse me chasing glory next PG?

just remember alot of Div 7 C grade teams have players fighting for spots in there clubs Div 1 or Div 2 reserve teams. this would make them very handy players. A Div 1 or 2 Reserve player would walk into a Div 7 team and dominate.

If CU are going on about the comp being easy because of the C grade teams you only have to say how many players at CU could go to a Div 1 or 2 club and make the reserves team. Mr M you would no wouldn't you???

No would never suggest your chasing glory, just find it amusing you compares apples and oranges, and the fact you rate Greenacres so highly and CU you dont rate at all. Im merely pointing out a couple of facts.

Of course Greenacres wouldnt have knocked back NA, would be stupid. As for "reaping rewards of hard work" well come on wheres the hard work been? Influx of money to the club, Danny Ryan gets dumped as Coach of Kilburn and takes half the bloody A grade to Greenacres where they get paid excessive amounts of money and climb a couple grades - still without a flag! Classic example of BUYING success.

The only thing they have done right is manage to maintain players and recruit some more.

Maybe should compare footy budgets between these clubs. $$$ always make a diference. Looking at clearances on the saafl site, was a fair bit both ways for CU, not many out going for IF, but quite few new ins, so your other statement certainly shows your lack of knowledge again

Had more skill and determination then most of you dismal B grade side in 2006... Club politics kept most C Graders from playing higher that year.
