In a straight forward tackle, just put his hands out to soften his landing and his opponent landed on him (all 85-90kgs), I only seen one arm and it had a fair bow in it near his wrist

Very good player Portland will miss him

Yeah he was at the count with both arms in plaster, could laugh as he was walking up to get his award which was good to see.

What A Joke - Div 3

Kevin Hopper - Athelstone Captain - Thats right did you hear correctly (CAPTAIN)

Round 9 - 4th best for the club
Round 17 - 2nd best for the club
Round 18 - 4th best for the club

Not his best year - & he won the medal - What about the blokes like Coffee & Sheedy Who deserve to win the medal because they both had outstanding season's.

These Umpires are a joke. No disrespect to the players who won it for their division but if your a captain you have every chance of winning it - Reguardless how good you are.

Agree. Doesn't just happen in the SAAFL. Happens in the country comps as well. Remember a hills player being runner up in the mail medal one season. Captain of his club but a pretty average player. Was only in the best players once that season. It's laziness on the umpires part.

Yep he did, I reckon this must be a record year where shared medals are concerned at least 5 grades shared. I wonder if anyone can confirm this?
