Ovingham arnt all that crash hot. Finished 4th in div 10s last year, so you would expect a div 7 side to account for them. Uni will be alot tougher and the result will be interesting.

Kersbrook are quite a strong side in the Hills Country Division.

Kersbrook played really well early, but the new guys just slotted straight in and then bang we were on fire.

Birdwood beat South Gawler by 2 points at Birdwood Oval yesterday. The first time I'd seen a HFL team play (besides the rep games) and it was very, very scrappy. Probably doesn't help with the angle the oval is on. Souths were up most of the day and got pipped right at the end.

And if anyone's interested, Salisbury West beat Eastern Park by about 6 goal (or thereabouts) at Kilburn last Sunday.

Bazzw
Im shocked that Lofty beat Modbury as they have picked up several players from the Gullies. Lofty must have recruited well.

Yeah the devils must have kept improving from last years effort. Certainly have some quality players, but didnt think they would be up to Modbury's standards.

bazzw,

who played well for both teams (Modbury and Lofty)??, it is interesting seeing a HFL club beat a div 2 side, Modbury should be around the mark this year in divi 2. I am guessing the HFL is on the improve?? I was always told that HFL was a divi 2/3 standard.

Modbury have some quality players don't they?? Jolly, Pocharia etc.

robby,

I have heard Lofty have gotten players back to the club that had left previously, do you think they will be around the mark? I have mainly heard that Uraidla, Blackwood and Onkas will be strong again.

Sorry guys, but it is probably time to move your discussion over to the 'Hills Football League' topic. Don't mean to be pushy or anything.

Cheers.
