i have just heard that Gavin wanganeen and che cookatoo collins will be joint coaches at Eastern Park football club 2008. They will be in direct competition with fabian francis next year and some new recruits could be on the way???

May be a bit premature there as the selection panel doesn't meet until tonight.

Can I take it from your message that Salisbury West will continue with Francis next season.

With the "issues" he had with some of his senior players last year, I am surprised he made it through the season...

spot on shimma but i had to respond. As far as we are concerned it was done and dusted on the day.
I dont think the wangas, collins thing will happen. I dont know who has applied for the job, but i can tell you, if i was a betting man, that Payney will get it again. Stability in sticking with a coach is very important for any club.
If my mail is right, their will be a big injection of quality players coming back to the club for 2008.
Hope SMOSH & Raggies do well in Div2..............good achievement to get there.

i agree think you guys will go well next year keep your current coach and keep improving on and off the field. You get Woodville South and kilburn next year dont no what they are going to be like as they both struggled big time this year. Dont think to many clubs would be able to afford wangas and che.


if anything che may go to his junior club rosewater.

Id like to think that the club will do the right thing and keep Payney for at least another year. His team was pretty good this year only just missing out on finals so hopefully next year we appear in finals!
But who knows what will happen just have to wait and see.
