Heard an interesting rumour of another football club being formed in the northern suburbs for next year.
The Elizabeth Park Football Club as it will be known, has nominated for permission to field a side in 08.
Heard a lot of players are heading that way as well.
The word is they have about 70 players ready to go for next year with majority of them from Central United.
Apparently a few people from my club (ex players) are involved in creating this side.
If its true where will they play, maybe the oval off Phillip Hwy (opposite tennis courts), funny enough thats were EPFC started.

As in Ridley Reserve? Opposite the high school? Hope not, there's nothing there.

Couldn't they have come up with a bit different of a name? Eastern Park/Elizabeth Park, bit similar aren't they. Might struggle to attract sponsors etc in the area considering how many clubs are around. What does that mean for Central United then, might struggle?

70 players would mean starting in div 7 7r. love to be in that comp, ideally would be a straight swap for kaurna eagles who prob wont be with us. maybe central united might fold but miraculously come back as eliz pk then may win a couple of gf s coz i dont think theyll go any higher, so start again under a diff name. what your thoughts guys.

if true dont think Units will fold.........been around to long.
But hey, if true, we should keep an eye on our on players.
dont know how many from Units if all but im sure if true there will be a few from around the traps.

Wow - Ridley Reserve, where Elizabeth FC started.

I really don't think there's much more room in the north for another football club. Remember Blakeview? Westfields? Kaurna United? All gone.

with a lot oftalkof players leaving and thec grade not being there, then a NEW side pops up down the road with maybe a pile of ex units going there then who knows. this other side may not even eventuate, time will tell

Also i think Eastern Park is named such coz its a combination of Elizabeth East and Elizabeth Park.

yeah someone told me it was crap, it should have been Elizabeth East Football Club not Park.

we will have to wait and see, could be crap, only passing on a rumour i heard.

maybe burglar angle vale may be this team you mentioned in this post months ago....not thatfar frm eliz!

I have heard that Angle Vale are starting up a side in 2009. The SANFL is still trying to work out if they will play in the Ametuer League or in the Adelaide Plains League.
