Yeah they're in, but I'm not sure where they're going to be based. I remember the Amateur League saying they didn't want to extend any further north than Smithfield, because of the travel for teams like Mitchell Park, Plympton, Glenunga etc. Unless they're going to play at the Junior Primary campus at Blakeview, which is almost the exact same distance north as Smithfield Oval. Not sure where else they could go.

Not sure about coach, recruits or anything like that. They've come in really quietly...

They couldnt play on the Blakeview oval its only about 150 long.
Maybe they will play at my old stomping ground Craigmore HS on Uley Rd.

ahh, my old HS.

the blakeview oval is ******* terrible...i used to umpire jr matches there and there are holes all over it...still, its only div 7 but there would be plenty of injuries caused by the surface, plus its hidden right behind the campus and parking isnt exactly the best.

but if they could play at the gawler campus, it has great facilities and a beaut of a surface.

If you have to go as far South or South East or whatever it is as mitchell park, then Trinity should be able to play as far North as Gawler. The facilties there are quite good.

Also i hear Gleeson College have submitted a team?
There will have to be a big shake up 2 D7 this year.

Great facilities out at Gawler, agree with you there, but I think because Gawler is considered part of the 'country' still, they won't want to venture out that far. The Gawler campus is located in the BL&G area, so soon you could have Willaston, and then Williamstown, then Tanunda, and then we'll change leagues and accept Virginia etc. They have to draw the line somewhere. Not saying it's a problem for me personally, but the Amatuer League have to have a point where they cut off or the Southern and BL&G Leagues could eventually be eaten alive.

I dont think they should go past smithfield either. Compared to the furthest South team(Kenilworth) we are pretty far north already.
If u have the saafl zone as far south as it is currently North we would have to include Seaford, Noarlunga etc. killing the Southern League as well.

Stan I'd like to know where your idea of the middle of Adelaide is. The equivalent of driving to Gawler from the centre of Adelaide going south is Willunga. If the Southern league folded like the Northern suburbs league folded some years ago I couldn't see Smithfield guys happy to go to Morphett Vale.

Trinity will be playing their matches at Blakeview, subject to any changes they may make. Gleeson will not be playing in SAAFL this year.

Cheers Thunder
I cant see how they will fill their 2 sides though, Most of the clubs up this way struggle to feild a Competitive C grade team. Let alone 2 new sides.

Thunder, what do u hear about Western Warriors folding?

I think they'll end up playing their home games at Evanston Gardens.. probably build a brand new pavilion, and have terrible away change rooms as well.

Just my prediction. 8)
