We were playing against a side who had a player with only one hand and he threatened to smack one of our guys in the head, to which he replied 'With what?'. Both parties involved had a laugh.

I wouldnt have thought it was the right thing to say either, but the bloke involved had a chuckle, so all good.

Not worse than a spectator running on the field, thats for sure...

a few years back playing at PNU in front of their quite hostile balcony, a then young 18yo got hit in front of his mum who showed maybe a little too much concern for her boy. The balcony then errupted with the "ooo get mummy to help you..." tirade on they young fella, who inturn faced them all and said "well at least i know who my mum is". Not bad from a young bloke, and by the looks of the blokes on the balcony, pretty much on the mark!!

Not really a great sledge but when Aldinga played Port Noarlunga last year they(Pt Noarlunga) have a Tall long haired ruck mand who has a long shabby beard and looks like a pirate. The guys all day everytime he got the ball were on him yelling out aaaarrrrgggghhhh all bloody day. The guy had a laugh a few times and I've never heard so many shit Pirate jokes as the afternoon got on. was pretty funny, coincidentally he started up the other end each quarter. Was harmless good fun.

Broadview V Gaza couple years ago, Gaza ruckmen with a shocking haircut and head to match, looked freakishly like Rob, the gay guy, from Big Brother that year. The tired tigers caught wind and yelled out 'Rob, we love you' and so on all game. Funny to those who knew what was going on, funniest bit though was when the ruckman after the game confronted the spectators and let them know his name was not Rob, and that they had probably mistaken him for someone else. DERRR!!!!!

Years ago my older brother used to lope around with long hair, braided into a ponytail before he want on to play, he used to be pretty handy with his fists and probably gave out more smacks than handballs, anyhow the boys from Elizabeth North Football club (who?) upon seeing him would yell out "Faith no More" everytime he got anywhere near it.

bear in mind this was back in the early 90's, maybe funny then
Sorry people I only deal in facts!
