Is it possible the authors of the "Around the Amateurs" segment in Sportsbeat can actually get the results correct. In looking through this weeks edition, there are several glaring mistakes in scores, winning margins etc.
For example, in the Seaton v/s Gepps preview it states Gepps won last weeks game by 1 point, in the TTG v/s Port Dist preview it states Port Dist lost by 8 points, in reality the margin was 11 points. there are 5 or 6 other examples of this in this weeks issue, surely these writers can check the SAAFL website and get a simple thing like this correct.

The other medium, 5RPH with John Wilson giving results have fallen for the same trick, obviously using the results info from Sportsbeat and giving incorrect results. I also think JW needs to do some homework on pronunciation of player names, he makes a mess of quite a few and gives incorrect info about player movements. he must do his notes on Sunday and doesn't check with the SAAFL to see if any players change clubs during the week. Might be a good idea John to check on Thursday then you can actually give people up to date info.

I know this is all voluntary but if it is to be done, try to at least give correct information.

Little Johnny has no idea & never will have when it comes to knowledge of footy, when its pronounced & spelt in front of him in black & white he still can't read.

capt. i agree, when i left the dist /gepps game last week i thought GX had won by 2 goals [by the scoreboard, & the GX crowd] when i read the results i told myself to cut down on the beer intake. now i can resume back to 'normal'

Moz, never blame the result of a footy game on your inability to maintain your regular drinking habits! If you followed these guys, you'd be an alcoholic one day and a teetotaller the next. Don't think it's worth upsetting your metabolism, do you? :?
