thanks for this thread..its great :(

hypothetical question..say salisbury west folded or werent wanted in the saafl etc..does that mean for the grades underneath div 3 only one team would be relegated?..if a team does drop out, it does change what happens like a ripple effect through the grades

*clutches at the straws

Something similar happened a few years back when Salisbury West were stopped from going up to D3, after their effort in the D4 GF against PNU. We finished bottom of D3 and Walkerville finished 9th, but Walkies were saved from relegation (by 0.1 % !!! :( )

Im not sure how it would work in this case though.

All 9th placed teams from each division below would be asked if they want to stay up or the 3rd placed team from the div below would be asked if they would like to go up. Be interesting if a div 3 or 4 team folded and a SFL club like brighton or marion once again applied, would they be given direct access to a higher div?

I'll tell you Mighty Hounds.

Salisbury West and PNU played in a grand final. It erupted into a game where brawling and behind the play hits were perpetrated by one of the teams involved. It was a very messy affair which saw some pretty big suspensions.

And some very heavy fines for the club. Not sure it's straightened them out at all though!

Mighty Hounds,

Looks like you were not concentrating at school that year, nice spelling attempt of suspense. :D

Where abouts in the country were you playing that year.
