The Premiership cup

Postby Footy Chick » Tue Sep 16, 2008 11:45 am

There would have been a few lads disappointed with the new look premiership cup on Saturday night due to the fact that the lids were glued/welded/whatever on and you couldn't drink out of it..

Not that it stopped the Hope Valley Magoos, who had the lid off by 9pm and were drinking from the holy grail as one should after a win

Anyone get theirs off*? :D

Yeah we got the lid off. All we needed was a snorkel and an avacado!! Now to replace the ridiculous taxi logo with a picture of a demon!!!

Even just the amateur league logo would have been ok, but a taxi logo?? Gimme a break

a few of us were out watching the div 6 GF and noticed that half way through the A's that the HV b grade cup still had its lid on. that was the first thing that we lost with ours in days gone by, and we also had to have both bolted back together after they got dropped a few times as well during celebrations.

with our A grade you would of had to try and get the cup out of our captains hands to even touch it let alone get the lid off and drink out of it

C Grade had the lid and the base off after a few hours... just gotta put humphrey back together again now.... Beer always tastes so nice out of the cup and I can tell you, if you have it in your hand, you hardly spend a cent because everyone who walks past pours beer into it !!
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Seats did a great job removing the lid, 10 minutes after the game. Problem was, A.Peterson held it for the next three days. Major repairs needed
