Illustrious CEO might not make it to Theby - SHOULD HE??????

Down the hill and far away from Adelaide in the land of Grapes and Good Footy comes the rumour this morning
that your Illustrious Leader - Mr M Shadiac might not be making the trip to Thebarton. A vote on whether he retains
his position just might make him feel a little twitchy according to a high ranking Amateur Exec this morning down south.
He listed the amount of sheer cock ups he has made and there is going to be a vote coming soon. What do the
Amateur people think about their Leader possibly being ousted and not re-appointed???? - Is he any good????
Is he good for the game???? - Is he good for the League????. Have only heard and read stories myself, but mmmmmmm
When I last played in SAAFL, some 3 years ago he was CEO and not a popular figure. Is he gone or not????

One enjoys your 'tounge in cheek" humor their Mr Shrek, but could you see Hosie as the CEO and working with them.
Me thinks not. Would probably try to belt one of them before the end of the first meeting I would think.
Could make an interesting meeting though. At least Hosie would be a different character and give them a bit
of stick there Shrek. Might be what the Tynte Street crowd needs although I cant see them seeing it that way somehow

If this thread turns into a bashing session, I'll get rid of it.... I'm warning you all now... :?

Constructive conversation only please and make sure you back up any statements with facts please.

Thanks.

Even better would be to get No Mercy and Hosie together in there at Tynte Street to take over from Shadiac

Now that would be funny. They have been joined at the hip for ages why not a take over at Tynte Street from Mercy and Hosie

I think an alternative view is what the SAAFL needs to push it out of its comfort zone candyman.

Hosie could be the man to do it.

No Mercy might be too busy heckling Place to fulfil the duties required of the CEO.

You couldn't.

How is the CEO and the board make-up of the largest football league in Australia not a topic fit for discussion?

Agreed Shrek. You and I have had a few harsh words on the Aldinga and Christies threads, but this is more than a rumour that
is doing the rounds. Has been circulating for months that the clubs want him gone down in Adelaide, so it should be a topic for
discussion. Cant see why it should not be a topic for discussion when an apparent vote is going to take place over the next 3 months.

Think the subject is very topical to be honest. <edited - what a ridiculous statement>I know I am just a southerner and have no idea - but even down here we know of the antics of your beloved CEO

I think the contract of the CEO was renewed last year for a further 3 years (correct me if I'm wrong) which would make it a very expensive exercise to replace him. Not impossible but costly.
It's fair to say that since he's been in the chair, IMO the SAAFL has improved markedly in most areas, still room in others but club delegates have the capacity to put forward at meetings any notice of dissatisfaction there may be, as a regular attendee to these meetings, I note that rarely happens.
People seem to enjoy bitching in the shadows but don't have the balls to bring issues out into the public forum where they can be put for discussion. :?

Contracts can be broken though. He is defenitly not everybody's favourite person, especially with the JDL's.

Kookas, go find someone that will please everbody and he gets the job. What a dumb statement that he's not everyone's favourite. If he was, he wouldn't be doing the right thing for the SAAFL and the clubs within the league.

The last guy that did everything the right way was put up on a cross on Good Friday, even he had his enemies.

Half right there Aceman but there is a difference between keeping everyone happy and being incompetent.
Your are right that one can not keep everyone happy and people in a position like that should not try to.
But this guy seems totally incompetent. Reading the host of posts about him over the last year suggests
that it is possibly not just a case of "not keeping everyone happy". Played 3 seasons ago in SAAFL before
going south and hewas disliked then, but this dislike has grown to differing levels now. Seems like it is
far more than a dislike. Can you see one post this year that supports him in anything that he has done?????
Am sure you would have the answers there Aceman, you seem to know everything OR think you do

Maybe to clear things up you could make a list of things Shadiac has screwed up.

Obviously the first one is appearing to spend the league's money for his own personal benifit; e.g. Drinking piss GF day and trips to Ireland.
