Every home game three players buy donate a basket of goods worth about $50-60 and sell tickets at $2 each on training nights, on Saturday nights. We raise $300-400 each basket and we have about 10 home games a year, so its a big money spinner for the footy trip.

selling the budget can net ya soem easy cash
sell them at $2 a week, sell 50 at home games and say 20 or 30 at away games on a thursday night
get ya self a $1000 easy dollars

another thing we are doing is we have a powerball thing thurs night after training
$2 buys you a number, if that number is the powerball number then you win $50
the other half of cash gets put towards footy trip

there are heaps of other ways to raise money!!

well get rid of simsy and you will be fine.

we did mildura about 4 yrs back, great trip, then Mt Gambier and that was a very messy but great trip. Last year was melbourne with the portland lads. dont remember much of it, but the young lads had a great time.

Country trips are good as you stick together.

we do a raffle every thurs night + a fundraiser night during the year.

Have only done country trips to Mildura (quality) and Mount Gambier, and then Geelong last year (also really good). Would think Melbourne, Gold Coast etc guys would get seperated too easily, bad enough in town on a normal Saturday night.

We stayed in the footy club. Went to the big pub on Friday night and it was packed. Saturday was a bus trip around the local towns and then back to Robe. Was a top weekend! I think we managed to fluke it that Uni stupids were back for holidays, which might have helped the pub scene.

Had a footy trip in Bondi, and that was really good, alot of good places to drink down there and there were alot of glamours as well.... if you are into that sort of thing.
Went to Kings Cross whilst there and that was interesting....

Guys
Check out our advert in THE FOOTY BUDGET
$500 to your club for every housing loan settled.
Great way to raise $'s for your club to be used as your committee decides-Why not your footy trip
Will be writing to your club secretaries in June but basically the deal is, contact Home Mortgage Services for your Home Loan, identify your club and upon settlement of loan, $500 will be forwarded to your club.
I will be overseas from this Friday 15th for two weeks so give me a call from June 1st with any queries or post on this site. Happy to answer in open forum.
Good luck to all this week
