Just looking at a few of the past results. Seems like you get 3 to 6 weeks for swearing or abusing a umpire, but only 2 to 4 for striking. What do people believe is worse?

I reckon on par to be honest. Unless there is a serious injury involved on the strike. Umpires are out of bounds and this should be enforced no matter what we think of them, i for one have an issue or 2 with a couple of umps and its not easy copping the crap they dish up.

They had many of that calibre a few years ago, loved to go the biff and from behind when they were losing.

Jabber .... which are you more proud of ??

A. Getting a bloke banned for life because he stated what was obvious to most at that game... you were a pathetic one eyed blatant cheat

or

B. The fact that after the game you came and stood near our barbie van and gloated (very loudly) over the fact to your two mates that 'you got another one this week and Im going to make sure he gets at least 8 matches'. :D

or

C. Getting on this forum and pumping up your own tyres about it 8)

Good work champ.. a 'b' grade club umpire being a "would be if he could be"...hope you invested the money you got for attending the tribunal wisely.

WTF...15 weeks for abuse gotta be kidding...should only get 1 or 2 at the max but 15....must of been a few lies in there for someone to get that many...and being a B grade umpire you gotta expect a bit when you gotta field your own umpires

some very good points made on here but the topic carey18 started with this i just cant agree with 4weeks for telling the goal umpire he is a cheat is way to harsh i believe i know for a fact you can belt sum1 on get of with 1 or 2 weeks i'm sure others will disagree with me but hey thats what a forum is for i guess.

You can call an umpire every name under the sun. But every umpire will tell you the worst thing to call them is a cheat.

Uni's D Grade Umpire is a dead set cheat and has been doing it for years and allowed to get away with it even after multiple complaints from every side that have played against.

After seeing what guys have been getting this year for umpire abuse (I think 6 weeks seems the norm) it will be very interesting to see what happens to the 2 players who have been reported for making contact with an umpire tomorrow night???? Not too sure it will matter what spin the clubs put on this, might see the book thrown at the players.

I with you Dutchy. No way should you get more weeks for saying something like that, compared to belting someone
