Would have been great with royal & red hooped socks, might be time to change to them next season I reckon.
Too many clubs wearing plain royal socks IMHO, probably because they were the easiest to buy.

What a great coach you had that year - Dave Crisanti - wonderful coach, player and person.

Not too many player coaches get to be BOG on the grand final day....great bloke, Dave - and then they shafted you - typical Hope Valley!

Who's decision was it to replace that jumper with current HV jumper? (which is a shocker in comparison) Why fix something that ain't broke?

Your opinion on the jumper is just your opinion and one that we obviously didn't take into consideration when making the change. This thread is on here to promote our club's past player day, not to listen to hack full forwards bag our jumper. Now run along and concentrate on finishing 4th or 5th again in Division 6

I hope you have a great day too and keep TT off the amber fluid till after the game if you can, he'll make enough silly moves during the match without grog in him, what about my idea on the hooped socks, any good?

Mate I wasn't bagging it, just wondering why you would replace a good jumper in the first place? Just seems a bit strange.
As for your personal attack, I'd enjoy you standing me any day. :ymbringiton:

You did call it a 'shocker' which is bagging it. But anyway, the juniors had that guernsey in the lycra version well before we did and we still had the old woollen ones (some with collars!!). I believe the decision was made to follow suit so there was uniformity across the whole club.

As for standing you - I'm older, slower, and a foot and a half shorter - but I'd still give it a crack any day

I had one of those old Hope Valley guernseys that felt like it was made from Asbestos shavings..... collar and all !! Given to me by my old man who used to play for the Valleys.... Was a great guernsey I must say.... and I'm still itching !!!
Hope it's a good day, I'll let the old boy know and he might come for a beer or 2. I may even join him if I get a chance !!
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

1994 GF win was over my boys Old Igs. Glandore started that year like a jet, winning the first 8 or 9 from memory and then fell in a complete heap. If memory correct, Igs and Valley split their two meetings, with each winning the away game, and then Valley too good in the finals.
Roger Woodcock -- 602 goals from a forward flank makes you a legend.

Yeah think ya right. Were both a couple of good footy sides. Both clubs played off in the magoos too that year.
