Team of the year or Team of the half year ? surely you can't have a third of the side made up from 6th and 7th on the ladder.
11 from the 22 from the bottom half of the ladder

There is always going to be a great amount of controversy when you have to select 22 players from a possible 200+. Would be good to see the names that were thrown around and missed out. I am surprised there are not more players from the more dominant teams this year. i know most would be biased to their club but what players were unlucky to miss out in anyones opinion??

Did Henry Mason or Nick Jolly play CHF in the state side this year? Understand DIV 1 will take precedence over DIV 2 but this is one spot they were selected head to head.

Agreed you can never please everyone but 4 from GAZA cmon....

From Modbury apart from Vandy the stand out has been Tim Davey and would have thought he may have come into consideration.

Ryan 'budda' Richards does the in and under stuff and is very important to the team but wouldnt expect him to have been considered

i'll be the first to back the gaza entrants into the team of the year.
jas ramsey would easily be the best full back in the comp. almost never beaten, and if you need a spark, just throw him in the midfield for 5 and try and stop him,
Blake Wagner, from what they've told me will win their b&f this year- great ball winner and tackler for a little guy
Kerr- probably the best tap ruckman in the league
Mason- had a good year from what i've heard too.
sure every team would have players that they can say played better than this guy and that guy in one game or another. that is why independent selectors pick it, with the coaches of each team also putting forward recomendations (i think)

Didn't 'tap' too many on Saturday.
Pederson from Henley, last time I saw him , would have that honour I reckon.

I question the "independent selectors " bit with E Burchell, long time Gaza stalwart as Chairman of selectors
