Clothing Licence & Media

I see the SAAFL has issued the licences for clothing for season 2010 and beyond.

No input from the clubs as we have no delegates meetings.

Do we need a licence agreement?

Do the clubs want this, we don't get a say.

Where is our media survey?

Some one at the "bunker" running their own agenda again

As "Mike Moore" from "Frontline" would say MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Weren't you once an Executive Member?
Did you do anything about the complaints you now put forward about the executive back then?
Are you prepared or capable of doing it better? If so, tell us how!

Ah hit a nerve at last.

We didn't get the complaints back then that they do now.

Am capable of doing a better job but don't have the time. Being on the Board at Broadies keeps me busy enough but will keep fighting the good fight against stupidity and at league level.

What about you, can you do a better job or just insult others, at least I know what I am talking about, who are you anyway as you know who I am or do you just hide behind a name or are you a a spokeman for the SAAFL.

The SAAFL have already admitted that they stuffed at the last delegate meeting with the way they treated myself and other delegates.

FE

Was at that last meeting and it was a pitiful the way our so called proffessionals handled the night... they are real amatuers and get the s#@ts on if any one dares to have a different opinion to them.

There was promise of a media review... I have not seen it... but dates for next years newsletter have been announced... must have been a claytons review.

And the clothing licence.... didnt think tenders closed until the first of November but junk mail is allready being sent out.... someone must be sure they have got the gig

Yes its hard to have an opinion when there is no forum to air it...... Well done to those involved yet again...F#@K the clubs what would they know

Agree with you Turk186 some of them have no idea what goes on at club level

My Sources tell me that the Clothing Licence behind closed doors has become like an episode from Fawlty Towers. And it could be explosive if the truth be known.

Will keep on with the good fight

I agree. What is the point of the licence? What do the clubs get out of it? All I see for the clubs is limited choice and difficulty in dealin with the companies.

It's just another money making exercise from the league that gives nothing back.

If clubs are going to be getting kickbacks it would suggest to me they are having to pay too much up front.

Ok, this is what I've got and those who know me will know this is FACT and not crap.

The number of licensees has not decreased but in fact been increased to 7, which means the league will benefit from the licences and the clubs will benefit on all the purchases.

All in all it is a far better deal than the current one – this was all done with the help of a sub-committee which had a club representative on it.

The way I read it, the clubs will get kick backs from on-selling t-shirts, shorts etc..that they can choose to purchase at the same time as their jumpers and I think I read there that if the clubs choose to put the SAAFL logo on their t-shirts, there will be re-bates off club calls.

More SAAFL logos on clothing.

Does sound like we are paying too much.

I wonder what we would pay for our jumpers if they didn't have to pay a licence fee.

The Onfield Cloything is bad enough now with all the SAAFL logos on everything.

What next Jockstraps

My mail tells me that only 3 licences will be handed out and it is all done a dusted

Refer to the JS email last week out before the Tenders close I believe

Questions need to be asked.

I'd check a certain column in the Footy Budget and you'll hit a gold mine

You're going to hate this FE but you are wrong again........on 2 counts and you'd better shoot your mailman.

Applications closed September 30th, licensees notified 2 weeks ago, all 7 of them, JS Sports included.

Email sent out WELL AFTER tenders closed and licensees advised and yes, my error, but nothing to do with the time/date/content or the process.

Ask me all the questions you want, you know where I am!
