TT, you are "on the ball" with the 3 years so zero, but hypothetically, I reckon he's worth 3 points provided he didn't originate from Broadview Juniors in the first instance.

Any player swapping clubs within the SAAFL are allocated 1 point only and only if they played a majority of A Grade in the previous season if not then they are worth zero - doesnt matter if its Goodies or Ovingham
SAAFL players from Div 1 - 3 are worth three points to a club outside the SAAFL
every player that had a points allocation in one year and stays with your club the following year has a point reduced

Without reading other posts a concern of mine with the points system is that why should a div 1 club have the same amount of points as that of a div 6 club. This is why we have the promotion/relegation system and different divisions. It will cause grades to even out and in the long term and make divisions meaningless... I can see why it is adopted in country leagues however I fail to see why it is needed when there is more than 3 divisions. The only way I can see it working is the higher the div,the more points you are entitled to use?? I do not have a thorough understanding of this system so if I am wrong with my thoughts then please correct me..

Cheers, I knew there were 3 points in there somewhere. Thanks for clearing that up EM.
