Who was the bright spark that invited Seton Ramblers Bruce Barnes to the D3R Medal count.

Bruce is currently rubbed out for 12 games and banned from playing in the SAAFL but has been invited to the medal count.

That poses two questions.

1. He already has enough votes to win the medal but can't

2. Or highlighting club umpires on voting.

O' what a fun night next week will be.

Just because he's banned, doesn't stop him from receiving votes before he was banned - and he just happened to rake up enough to get in the top 4.

Gee, it'd be like the AFL banning Dermott Brereton in any given year... so if Barnesy wins it - he doesn't get it, just like any other suspended player.

Anyone reported & suspended should not get an invite regardless whether they poll alot of votes.

Did he receive a PERSONAL invitation in the mail?

No.

He was simply named as one of the top 4 votegetters for division 3R.

u dont get an invite to the brownlow if u have been suspended. so he cannot be in the top four because u are ineligble once u are suspended. shows not much thought went in to it from the saafl.

I think we are entitled to see who was in he top4 from each club regardless if someone is suspended and like its already been said he wont get an invite to go so what does it matter?
