Heard there was some crowd trouble at the GF? bit of a punch up? sounds like the game was played in good spirits though which is the main thing.

Yes disgraceful that some of these people go to the footy to look for & start trouble on innocent people who are supporting their team in the right manner.
This mob should of been shown the exit gates, where were the cops? i never saw a cop at the oval to tell you the truth.
I could see this mob were looking for trouble gathering in numbers from one end of the ground to the other.
Very disrespectful to their own football club.

Nobody wants or needs to see that at a game. Definately soured what was a good spectacle of the future of amatuer league footy.

Yeh typical, after the fight.
Why wern't they there earlier? the SAAFL surely should of been prepared for trouble as they know the clubs that trouble follows.

Fair bump

Was looking at the u18 comp this morning, am I reading it right that there are only 2 divisions with teams of 6 & 7?

There are some big clubs not represented in the comps, esp south of the city, where do all the kids go? play senior footy?

Senior footy.
The 18s comp is garbage anyway and most don't want to play in it.
The better kids are playing As or B's on the Saturday anyway or are at SANFL clubs and the Sunday arvo timeslot doesn't fit with many 17 / 18 year olds.

Nick Chesser turned 27 today. 6 x A grade B&F and 1 x runner up. What a footballer!

The following year Lath Rigney and his old man were banned from Ingle Farm after the infamous Trinity game. :(

Some handy names in those lists though.

Machete was Gepps Cross U18s game wasn't it?

Ingle Farm vs TOS was Rigney kicked a player in the head whilst on the ground, brawl broke out, his old man came flying down to get involved.. then grabbed knife off the BBQ to try and stab another Farmer.

A grade were locked in the change rooms for like an hour after while cops sorted it.

Bedge was good that day
