Looking for a team - suggestions

Long time lurker, first time poster

Basically I'm looking for a team, in previous years I have played B grade for Div 6 / 7 clubs. I'm of average skill and I'm looking for a team where I could more than likely play most games. The teams chances of winning the flag / playing finals isn't a big deciding factor in my club selection.

I live in the Eastern suburbs and work in the CBD.

Glenunga are always looking for blokes.

Used to go watch them a fair bit in the late 90's/00's and always had a good time especially when Mitchy used to run around for them and he'd smack out any fullback within punching distance

The Cats were on my list (and still are), however due to all their recent recruits I wasn't sure if they still wanted more players because it would mean more of their current people missing out.... after all the hard work dee man has done getting so many recruits

From what I have been told Glenunga have almost a whole side missing out every week.

Excellent, will have to have a look. So far I have had Ovingham, Flinders Uni, going back to Mawson Lakes & Mitchell Park suggested

Ovingham have a lot of Army lads who go away at times during the season, and have a few blokes who are filling gaps. You would be more than welcome.

i suggest the university blacks
we train in the parklands so only a step from the cbd and are not really that bothered about punctuality or even attendance during the cold and rainy evenings.
great social atmosphere with the seven teams and presentations are at the havelock hotel (which even if is not one of one's preferred watering holes) provides a decent kickoff for a saturday night

Head out to Alberton Oval, the Power could probably do with a cheap recruit.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and messages, has given me a lot to look at instead of doing work.

With three teams going under and having so many people miss out at some clubs, I'm surprised threads like this don't pop up more often because I couldn't imagine sitting out all season and not getting a game

Smithfield didn't die mate, they still have a C grade, a very social team, train once a week and have a good laugh despite results.
