The PNU cheer squad is made up primarily of junior footballers from the club and a few of their parents cheering on the seniors who they would hope to emulate one day. Its a fantastic idea and its getting more and more of our junior families linking with the senior ranks as they can be segregated at some clubs. They make banners and cheer for their favourites and provide visual and verbal support to the team. The kids have made a real effort and the senior playing group love it.

Im playing my last ever game of footy in the C4 GF on Saturday and cant wait to see the cheer squad there cheering on the PNU C grade as we fight for the premiership. Keep up the good work guys as your a big part of the fact we have 2 teams in grand finals on Saturday. Im sure every club would love to have a cheer squad. 8)

I know of a few blokes with black and white flags that aren't going to be doing much next season that you could probably sign up...

We're looking at getting some of the magpies cheersquad out at PNU next year as some of the PNU cheersquad are already involved with the magpies and many of the magpies cheersquad are turning away from AFL and SANFL altogether.

We made up a few flags for the 09 Div 3 Grand Final and we pull them out for other Grand Finals. I think it adds a bit to the atmosphere of the game

Best of luck to you, Wristy. Hopefully you can come home with a win!

I think cheer squads look great, at any level. It's great when a good proportion of the club can come together to support their own, as opposed to having clusters of fans spotted around the ground.

What i love about that shot is its a slightly different dynamic to our mobs juniors doing it but right in the middle of shot is former A grade skipper Pencil and probably then President the great man Trav Bowden. Nice work.
Im hoping the Bs make it to the GF next week so i can come down and support the Cats before the Div 2 GF.

I cant imagine anyone wouldnt want to see the colours of his clubs flags waving proudly.

Me too Wristy. Be good to have as many supporters as we can there if the boys get though.
