Not surprised Pembroke got up, Haslam is very difficult place to get a win.

Too nice, not getting through a full game since Round 1 wouldn't classify me as young I wouldn't think.

Quality runner though. Had more of an impact in the B's on Saturday than some of the players.

The Athelstone Football Club was established in 1904 by a group of local market gardeners who donned hessian bags as guernseys, which is why we are called "The Raggies".

Yes but it takes them further away from their spiritual home of the school.....

Would be better off staying away from the circus that is the Kilburn FC.

Suppose this is the northern version of the Pulteney & Glenunga merger that gets thrown around every few years because of facilities....

It's not much further, couple hundred metres down Prospect Rd, besides apart from the name what affiliation does the club have with the school? Don't see a great deal of kids coming through their sides like say a Pulteney.

Pulteney and Glenunga.. the only difference between their facilities is that Glenunga have a clubroom.

Think you would find that they would get more kids than Pulteney do from their school! It's why Pulteney dropped the Old Scholars from their name as Football is not a big focus for them anymore.

More like the school just doesn't care about a football program of any substance

Would be difficult to compete with some of the ridiculous scholarships being thrown around to ensure success in some of the college football teams.

Pulteney have been average at school boy level for decades. They get a few players of a high standard (Webber and Dawe from Norwood are 2 former scholars) They try to be the best of the Shit so to speak. Highly competitive games v CBC, St Pauls etc but get smashed by PAC, St. Micks & Saints if they ever play them.

However, despite being winless in D4 this season there does seem to be a core group of kids capable of playing A grade in the mid divisions
