No guarantee of that.
Dutchy's a good networker but a lot of blokes may consider going elsewhere if they drop to Div7.
That's no reflection upon Units, You just never know what an individual is going to do.

Central United will lose no more than 2 or 3 of the A grade playing squad.

This playing group has been together for a long period of time many of these lads have been offered money by other clubs some close by and some in the country for bigger dollars but these lads all stick together as they are very good friends which I for one admire in them.

As for where CUFC will play in 2014 I guess only one group of people can answer this and that would be the SAAFL I have a fair idea as to what the SAAFL are thinking and I tend to agree with Phantoms line of thinking but who knows time will tell I guess.....

Central United wouldn't lose a game in Div 7 if they kept the same team in 2014

I agree.

The gap between div 6 and div 7 is massive. Take Ingle Farm for example - they were no doubt the best side all season only dropping a few games, and winning most by large margins, however I think most people forget that at almost full strength they narrowly dropped their two trial games at the start of the season to two sides which missed the 5 in div 6.

Houghton and Ingle Farm have struggled in 6 in recent years yet were a force in 7 this season, whereas Central United are already a contender in 6, dropping to 7 would make them EXTREMELY tough to beat especially with Ingle Farm and Angle Vale moving up, and Smithfields future unclear..

Any of the proposed 2014 D6 sides would start heavy favourites with Houghton to win the D7 flag.

its a fair point, the units being dropped on the surface is a big penalty - but consequently chances are theyll likely have a joyful and memorable year full of celebrations and good times - theyre more being gifted than penalised by going to div 7
