As to football, tremendous effort by Tea Tree Gully in the Fist Semi, were down by 25 points (or thereabouts) at 3/4 time to come steaming home to take the game. Withstood the conditions much better than PNU who ran out of steam (and by the end fit players). Amazing rollercoaster of emotions for the PNU boys after their after the siren win against Blackwood the week before!

Yeah it was a great hit out...

have to say that I expected that 4th quarter to be my last for the year because your boys outplayed us easily in the first 3 quarters.

Don't understand how Blackwoods top vote getters received 4 total votes in the association medal? They finished 4th on the ladder and pushed every side in the division. I believe that everyone who was able to watch Blackwood this season would agree that they have some serious top end talent. Looks like they were shafted by the umpires, which happened frequently on the field this season. Dont want to rant but 4 votes ties with Hope Valley and no disrespect to them but they really struggled this season. Also what were your opinions on Blackwood this season? Should they stay or leave? :D

Generally means that your Umpire wasn't assertive enough after the game. (the reason some players perpetually dominated ;)

As for Blackwood quality unit (albeit with a few snipers, although not Robinson Crusoe there). The split grounds bit was a bit annoying, if they wish to stay in the Ammos good luck to them, depending on who nominates where (which anything could happen) I would think that C1 or C2 would be a better home for them (ditto C3 or C4 for CLG)

EDIT - I initially didn't understand your complaint. Blackwood collectively got plenty of votes. Just they had an even spread amongst the side.

Collectively Blackwood got 44 votes (from 8 wins) which you can compare to PNU's 51 (from the same number of wins) and Old Ignatians 51 (from 7 wins).

On those numbers your blokes could consider yourselves a tiny bit unlucky, but hardly outliers!

Blackwood got 43 votes but whose counting :p Do you reckon Blackwood should be in C1/2 because they don't have a D grade or because div 8 is a bit too high? I'm not sure what club you are from Jo but I reckon Blackwood pushed every side in each match this season ... which is encouraging since well over half the side were 21 or under. Dunno about that Sniper comment, you need to take into account Blackwood were the new boys from another competition so every week the opposition were being 'aggressive' at the man, I.e aiming to defend there turf. But that could have occured in every div 8 game this season, i didn't see all matches.

C1/C2 comment was re not having a D grade for the sake of convenience to the rest of the league. The generally accepted theory is that the standard between Div 8 and C1 and C2 is fairly even.

They have a joint custody agreement on the medal, where Freddy gets alternate weekends. Kellsy was definitely the standout in our D grade this year...

It was mentioned at out training last night that the div8 winner from Golden Grove polled 3 votes against us in round 2 when we beat them by 12 goals. This surely can't be true...

Round 2 - GG v TTG

3 votes - Luke Sierp (TTG)
2 votes - Ryan Spittle (TTG)
1 vote - S Latham (TTG)

But hey, don't let the truth get in the way of your story.......

What Story... It was a question???

Never said it was definite, but was being thrown around last night by guys that attended the medal count and couldn't see how it could be true.

C'mon Haynzy, everyone knows a question needs one of these ?????? ;)

Power Point flows fairly quickly at the count, easy to misread it as it flicks through.
Also, there are roughly 500 slides, every chance one of them had an error on it.

So Div8R at 6:15 and Div8 at 8:15?

I'm sure the Hope Valley supporters would love the Friday night game, party into the early hours following the easy victory, then be back at Thebby to watch the Div4R GF kicking off at 9am. Heck, may as well just stay at Thebby and save on the $15 entry fee!!!

Surely this can't happen what about the people that work til 5:30/6 and play football sat how can the league justify giving 4 days notice your playing on a Friday night when you're working and stiff sh4t if you can't make it to the game!!
