The Broadview Football Club will be holding it's Annual Heritage Day 2nd August.

The A Grade will be wearing a special jumper to recognise and celebrate the following premiership sides.

Each jumper will have the name of a Premiership player from each year on it as well as the current player who wears that jumper

1964 A3 (First Premiership in the SAAFL and the year we entered the SAAFL)
1974 A2 (The team that put us into A1 for the first time)
1984 U18 (The Greatest collection of players to come out of an U18 side to play A Grade and higher for the Club)
2004 D1 (The Greatest ever turn a round in a finals series after losing the Qualifying Final by 120pts and being 39pts down late in the second quarter of the 1st semi Final to turn a round and win it all).

I played in that 120point thrashing. 2 weeks later broadies knocked us off in the prelim by 6 goals. That's probably another record turn around in itself too.
Think you could thank Mark Jones for most of those turnarounds! He was incredible that series.
And can also thank S Pitt I believe for getting sent off in that 1st semi which started that 39point turnaround.

Spot on I forgot about Steven Pitt getting sent off.

Salisbury North played in both !st Semi Finals that day. First year of the Home Final system.
Funny thing was thou Gepps Cross who won the early game, their supporters were cheering for us in the late game.

Finals can make some funny bed fellows at times
