Apparently got a red card for the incident so would'nt think it would be hearsay... But u never no!!! Didn't a lad in div 4 get 6 weeks for a apparent head butt..

Was told by a Blacks player the incident happened right in front of an umpire but he did nothing...... so not sure what if anything will happen

I heard from a CLG player that the incident happened in the 1st qtr and he wasn't reported until half time because the Blackfriars coach complained. Umpire said he didn't see it.

Who will be the big winners and the big losers of this weekends matches? Who has the most to prove and who can't afford to let 2 points slip?

I heard it was as close as he got to a physical contest all day, but maybe that was because it was wet. :)

elizabeth look to a have a few names out including payney with a LTI..will test their depth a bit with a tough game against greenies tomorrow and then blackfriars the week after..a good time to play them perhaps?

rosewater v para hills looks to be the other tight game on the weekend..good luck to all the teams..

Round 3 predictions.

Greenacres Vs Elizabeth: Greenacres got the points last week against a determined Pulteney after adjusting to the conditions quicker. Elizabeth bounced back as expected last week however injuries are starting to mount and with the weather to be similar to last weekend I think greenacres can get the points at home.
Greenacres by 3 goals.

Rosewater Vs Para Hills: Rosewater are clearly a team which will take a power of beating this year. After a successful off season in which they picked up some very handy additions to what was already a strong team. They have made light work of the first 2 rounds. Para Hills who got on the winners board last week have also had a big off season recruiting and maybe they are starting to click.
Rosewater by 6 goals.

Pulteney Vs Adelaide Lutheran: Pulteney came crashing back to earth last weekend after a surprise win first up. They did have there chances to make it 2 from 2 last week however inaccurate kicking ultimately cost them. I would expect them to come out firing this week at home. Adelaide Lutheran lost in a close one round one but last week found Rosewater to strong. They will be looking to get there first win of the season and this would be a game they were expecting to win before the start of the season.
Pulteney by 3 goals

Woodville South Vs Colonel Light Gardens: Clg would be disappointed with last weekend after a strong display round one last week was a completely different side. Not sure what is going on there off field but they would be hoping to get it sorted and look to get the points on the field this week. Woodville South managed to sneak home on the first match of the year but last weekend they were comprehensively beaten and looked to struggle in the conditions.
Clg by 10 goals

Blackfriars Vc CBC: Top plays bottom and Blackfriars look like the step from div6 to div5 won't be a problem. Strong wins against good opposition in the first 2 weeks has Blackfriars as clearly a top team this year. CBC need to get on the board this week after 2 bad loses not sure what to make of CBC this year as talk in the off season was positive.
Blackfriars by 10 goals

Well done to woody sth for the ANZAC day ceremony pre game, was done extremely professionally.
Looked like they had a pretty young side out there on saturday and i would expect them to improve throughout the season. I imagine they will cause some upsets later on in the year.

Looking forward to rosewater this week as it will be a big test for us against a top side.

I don't get around the club as much as I'd like, but seems things are looking a bit grim at the EFC.
Looks like a few players out for about a month. Six or seven players, so I've been told.
Some easy pickings for the opposition over coming weeks?
