Not a whisper really, was mentioned at the delegates meeting as one option.

The owls would get smashed in APFL played a trial game few years back 28 goal difference between div 7 and APFL.
Gee they pay a few players and think they ready to play with the big boys.
They end up like hamely struggle to get players when getting smashed week in week out.
They should work on getting to div 6 again and stay up there.

Only 28 goals? Adelaide Plains teams would be pretty competitive in Div 3 and I think you would be looking at 200+ points most weeks with the current side

Yes current side would be as bad as the current Hamley Bridge.
And they pay players now, i heard when they decided to pay players, they assumed they would be winning a flag, even got told that this year side was better then 2013 GF side that lost to the farmers. And the funny thing is that in 2013 no payed players. Just because you pay players does not give you success. The thing i liked about the Owls was they did not pay players.
If they went to APFL it would be a laughing stock just like Hamley is this year. Plus how would they fill enough junior teams and netballs teams in that league.
At least they are competitive in Div 7 and makes it enjoyable for the players and club when you when some games.

Why would the league be chasing clubs as we currently have over 60 clubs?

No disrespect intended but why would the league go out and source clubs to bolster up div 7? I can understand if clubs made enquiries to join but why source them? Every year the lowest divisions in the league are altered in some way to accomodate the ever changing scenario as it's mainly based on numbers of struggling clubs.

Just had a look at the ladder - all four finals spots locked in, which means we get to come and do it all again in two weeks. (Memo to St Pauls: if you could turn on a BBQ next time, that'd be sweet.) I did hear that our final might be played at a neutral ground, though - any truth to that, and what would be the likely venue?

They were fine - WE (the spectators) were the ones who got a warning for language (from the St Paul's officials, who told us the umpires weren't happy), although I'm not sure exactly what they found so offensive, I'm pretty sure we were good as gold. :D

Hell no. I got suckered into doing it once at our last club and NEVER AGAIN. Was still digging mud out of the machine six months later.
