Ground is in it's best condition for mid September I remember too. Should be a cracking day.

The Smithfield lads should remember it as a happy hunting ground from last year too.

I don't think it will be so happy this year. Lockleys for mine.

I would've been Smiffies all the way until the weekend but that womens intuition is also nagging me to back Locks.

Heatwave too on Saturday - 24c predicted.

Smithfield's A Grade have a 100% winning record at Payneham.

On the other hand I'm fairly certain Lockley's seniors are undefeated there too ;) Ditto Ingle Farm and Trinity's reserves ;)

Trinitys C grade record there is not so flash. 0 from 4.

I'm hearing the Ingle Farm SuoerCoach has had a tactical epiphany and the Farmers are going to do a Norwood Circa 1984 or more recently or relevantly PNU 2013 :D

Timmy "the Tattooed Freak" Bryant to be best on ground post game and do a nudie run during the A grade

... I've recently had it brought to my attention that the last Ingle Farm B Grade flag was played and won at PNU 8)

So PAOC are in a GF four out of five teams now and waiting on the A grade. Very impressive season, good chance to win both GFs this weekend and you would think that the week off in D2r and C2 will have them favs for next week! Seriously, how many kids went to this school that can actually play footy! Surely they are not really all old scholars?

Pretty sure their first 18's have either won or at least made the final of the state school's knockout championships for around 7-8 years straight now. Combine that with the Old Collegians snaring a lion's share of the blokes who went to the School and you're going to get a pretty successful period.

The A's have about 3-4 non Old Scholars - only Hughes is a "recruit" the others are mates or family of old scholars.
B's about the same - Riverland lads that joined the club about 4-5 years ago.
the rest of the club would be 95% or more Old scholars.

The Committee has done a massive amount of work over the past 5 years getting kids from the school straight to the club, if they are not of SANFL standard.

When people get to the gates this weekend try and remember that these prices are set by the League with the proceeds going towards the League and have nothing to do with the poor innocent Club Volunteer at the door.
