New coaches - 2016

Postby Footy Chick » Thu Oct 08, 2015 12:44 pm

Feel free to stick any new appointments in this thread for easy access.

I note that Plympton welcomes back premiership coach Damian Minervini to the head coaching position.

Should be a good fit. Particularly for a club doing some good work building from the ground up in recent years

Nope. I played under him in 02, and with him in 03.

Wouldn't pay much attention to the result at ironbank. You can't polish a turd after all.

Club legend Dave Rogers to coach Elizabeth.
I'm tipping good results for the Eags next season.
He's a steady head and a very successful bloke with lots of respect around the club.

Darryl Prosser to coach the B grade and Steve Johnson to stay C grade coach.

Good job by Carey Payne and Danny Walton over the past couple of years. They'll be missed in those positions.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

And the winner is . . . . Footy Chick.

Frank Leonard has been appointed as our new coach. Frank's had a long football career. He's a playing life member at West Adelaide, and has been coach of Barossa Districts, Norwood's U19 team, WWT Reserves, WWT League assistant, U19 SANFL State team then spent 18 years as SANFL state development director running the U16 & U18 football programs.

We're still to appoint a reserves and C grade coach.

Former Glenelg & Broadview 2004 Premiership Player Guy Ridgway has been appointed Coach of Edwardstown for 2016 season.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.
