Mate you're the one who come on here and called yourself sandbaggers last night. What do you expect people to come back at you with when you have that scenario as a club?
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Is Pulteney a strong football school? No, in fact it's garbage with very few good players coming through each season and almost no A Graders.

Are they a rich club with high turnover in their clubrooms? No, in fact they don't even have clubrooms.

A large slice of their A's and B's would be interchangeable. They have very little top end talent apart from Aish. Very few paid players. Their previous Div 4 results and finals appearances were largely driven by having a recently retired AFL player for a few years.

Didn't Sarge play Div 5 Tony?

Anyway it has been described by a few older blokes at this club that at school they were the best of the shit......Would get belted by the Football Schools of Rostrevor, Hearts, Princes and Saints but be able to beat CBC, St Pauls and the like. From what I'm hearing they won't even be competing in the Saturday afternoon First XI cricket this year and I suggest Footy is heading the same way.

Just looking over the names that played on Saturday there is a few still around from the 2009 A grade Premiership team but obviously they are no longer able to play A grade every week.

Would like to say congratulations to Hectorville on this year's premiership, they beat us hands down yesterday. Maybe played our g.f last week against Lockleys, but regardless not a Smithfield performance. H.F.C we're a formidable opponent all year and we look forward to meeting them next year in div 4.

1 player from the 2009 flag played in this year's flag. Oh and he's 36 so playing in the B's is actually a pretty good effort

Didnt they sever ties with the OS?

Not really just dropped the OS part of the Club name. Still would rely on the school to source players.

tony Glenunga ticks all your boxes. Strong in the lower age groups of juniors. Brand new club rooms. More than their fair share of paid players.

Didnt they sever ties wyith the OS?

There was a period they were trying to get their own junior teams so dropped the OS and just became PFC. Don't think it went anywhere. Most of the decent footballers who go to Pulteney play their junior club footy at Goodwood, Unley, Mitcham...

All college teams cop this of course but those in higher divs and with stronger school football programs attract school leavers much more effectively.

It probably does but perhaps the club just needs to accept that it is a small club with a limited feeder program and is probably best suited to Div 5/6.

I can't believe, the club you coach @ has just been relegated, gone through merger talks & your on here bragging about a b grade flag? Wouldn't be surprised if you get a call from the prez tomorrow.

Also well done to Hectorville on getting straight back into div 4. thought u could've thrown a blanket over 4 sides to win the flag. Was an open comp.

Haven't once bragged about winning a B Grade flag. Have said though that we would have loved nothing more than to be successful in the A's sometimes though clubs go through a rough patch. We will be doing everything we can to turn around quickly as Woody Sth showed. If I were you I'd be more worried about your own backyard mate rather than an opposition club. I also think there is a saying something like winners are grinners and it doesn't matter what grade you win a flag in its still worth winning it champ.
