That woud be an absolute joke! There is not a blade of grass on the oval, and with the rain predicted the oval will not be safe. Be like the GG game and soccer score of 4 goals each!
Why does someone who states they're from Henley care about the state of Flinders Park oval?
Henley is more reference to Cricket at that oval, nothing to do with footy.

ANYWAY, just don't think finals should be held on disgraceful surfaces. Good luck to the players who have to run thru that.

Think Flinders Park have to bite the bullet and do what PHOS are doing next year and give the oval a year off, and fix the problem properly. Their season was de-railed last year due to the same reason, looks like it has happened again this year. Be stuck in Div 3 forever if this continues!
Another wasted year at Flinders Park, bundled out in first week of finals. Tough questions need to be asked.

I don't think it is a coincidence that their season de-railed like last year when their oval become a bog. Not being able to train like normal is disruptive.

Two years in a row have been certain Grand Finalists, only to have it end like this. Very disappointing!
Yeh disappointing for a few other sides as well, wouldn't have minded personally to come up against them again on a reasonable ground, or even a car park would have been better. Oh well, footy gods I guess #snitchesareb*tches

Probably had more to do with them being a one man band.

They would be filthy with this result. No doubt they're already on the recruiting campaign for next season.

I have heard Ainger heading back to Melbourne, which will free up money for Thompson from the Eagles

And for all the pessimists, Flinders Park Oval was quite alright on Saturday. I didn't see the A grade game but the scoreline was probably as much to do with a tricky breeze rather than ground conditions. Sure it wasn't perfect but nothing like the "disgrace" people were claiming it was going to be. The 3 games were a combined margin of 22 points so it was a day of good close finals footy.

Staying as the Director of Football.

Ex West Adelaide player David Piasente to take over.

Seaton another loss by less than a goal, got to feel for them!

Thought all along Golden Grove only danger to Brighton, so should be good game at Thebby this week.

Despite Seaton leading Brighton in the last quarter in the semi-final...

I didn't think anyone would get within 10 goals of Brighton in the finals but I was certainly proven wrong. Would be great to see the underdogs get up this week.

Have GG ever been in D2 before?

Huge win for our club on Saturday. As stated above GG has never been in Div 2 and seems like only yesterday we were kicking around in Div 6 with transportable huts as change rooms.

Onto the game.....scores were even at qtr time and then Seaton went on to kick 4 goals to zip in the 2nd. Things weren't looking great but we fought back to lead by 10 pts at 3 qtr time. First goal in the last and we looked home but to Seatons credit they kick the next two to get within 4 pts. Last 5 mins of game was end to end with no score.......

Should be a belter against Brighton @ Thebarton!
