teams win by 10 plus goals in all grades, doesn't mean they should be higher. it all sorts itself out over the season

Rumours are your planning to come out of retirement for finals?

@mighty hounds How pristine is Flinders Park's oval atm? It's hard to imagine that it gets totally churned up.

It's a ripper before winter hits. Between Seniors, Juniors and Superrules the oval gets no break once the rain sets in and she gets bad quite quickly. Hopefully not as bad as last year

I might start training with the super rules team.

Just to think there was a few on here that said Brighton would find div 3 a bit harder than expected. Even miss the finals! Every man and his dog South of ANZAC Hwy knew they would chew up and spit out the large majority of teams in this div. There are some who underestimate how good top end Southern League teams are because of 3-4 teams who go down by 20-50 goals each week.

Well I tipped them to play Flinders in the GF so maybe just listen to the experts ;)

Get a grip people.

They haven't played any of the likely other top 4 teams.

The only team they have smashed is a team that has not won in two years.

From what I can gather they are a mid to upper Div 2 standard club but still plenty to play out in this one. They deserve credit for all the off field work, recruiting and improvements made in the off season. Transferring nicely to on field performance.

The SAAFL have a no win situation placing teams from other leagues. No matter where you place them, someone will criticise or feel hard done by. Ideally they should have been in Div 2. That said, I do commend headquarters for denying the neighsayers who wanted them placed lower

The game against Seaton was pretty tight... out to a 25 point lead at quarter time... and that was the margin at the end.... It will be a good test against Flinders Park in two weeks.

Bit late on it but thanks to the Seaton players/coaches/officials who came in after the A grade and had a drink. Would've been 20 or so Seaton guys upstairs having a few beers. Always nice to see opposition teams putting some money over the bar.

Should be a good sized crowd at Brighton on Saturday for the top of the table clash. Is it going to be a close game like the 2009 Rd 14 Saints v Geelong top of the table clash or will it be like the Crows v Richmond thumping few weeks ago?

Looking forward to the match Suri, be a good test to see how we compare to a club that believe they should be in div 2.

Thankfully it is at Brighton the 30 Brighton supporters will be there. If away the 5 faithful may show up depending on weather..

And what makes you think that Mighty Hounds. We were offered the opportunity to come into Div 3 in 2017 and gratefully accepted without any views on our status as a Div 3 club. Plenty of SA Footy contributors from other AdFL clubs and SFL clubs have offered their own opinions but we are taking nothing for granted and just enjoying playing clubs and ovals we have never played. You would be well aware that a Div 3 team won its first 7 games last season, finished the minor round 2nd, but still find themselves in Div 3 this year. That club has done us all a favour by reminding us that it's what you do in August and September that counts.
