Ugh

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with the AdFL teams - it really doesn't need to be here thanks

You are being naive if you think this won't have an adverse effect on the RFC. All teams that represent a club have something to do with them.

I'm not being naive Mr smarty growly pants, it needed to be made clear from the outset - that the RFC can't and won't be sanctioned by the AdFL as the over 35's is a separate comp so anyone that had plans on coming on and demanding they be chucked out etc... can think again.

It was on the news and its all over social media.

Basically the over 35 coach shirt fronted an ump after a game has been called is what has been reported.

But Footy Chick there is a beast called the Community Football Board that oversees all leagues and clubs outside the SANFL so I think your "absolutely nothing" comment is a little naive.

I said the AdFL can't do anything to them, and this is an AdFL thread, not a CFL thread.

so my comment stands is correct.

F*** me, will you people read things properly

It may not be a CFL thread, but the it's relevant discussion around an AdFL club so why wouldn't it belong in here?

No different to discussions that occur around junior footy or schools in these threads.

It won't affect them now but it might down the track if someone in the Saturday teams crosses the line again.....it could be used as a precedence for club representatives not being able to control themselves.

Jesus they traced the umpire down pretty quickly. That match would have only been done and dusted at most 2-3 hours prior judging by the sunlight.

Correct. No scoreboards, ladders or premierships and whilst I'm not really across it they had rules like 12 points for a drop Goal and the guy in the purple shorts can't be tackled or something like that.

If nothing else it's a fair assumption that the coach is done for life. I'm not talking about a CFL punishment I'm talking about an RFC internal one. Coaches drive a clubs culture and as I have previously mentioned you have a bunch of people at RFC working their asses off to set standards and one person can ruin it for everyone.

Not hard to find people these days and the media gotta get their story, sell them papers and get hits on the old click bait.

Exactly - something is a bit dodgy - As I'm a super sleuth, i've since discovered that the kid they had on after the ump and tagged as "a former player" was actually the umpires son.

Whilst Rosies are obviously not without fault by the end result, I think you'll find there's somewhat of a stitch up here too by Channel 7 looking for the cheap story, which is why I'm suggesting that the whole story be heard first.

Everyone is so judgemental  ;) Just chill for a while.

Could be wrong - have been before...

I understand Lisa but how does an over 35's game get heated or even called off in the first place? 99% of the games I have seen most blokes are pissing them selves laughing or hung over as f*** for the entirety of the match. Rosewater are known for taking this comp a bit more serious than other clubs and that is perfectly fine. The coach if it's the same bloke from last year is pretty passionate about what he does. This is a genuine shock though. For the RFC I hope there has been some sort of stitch up which is sad to say because if it isn't then they are in some serious, serious shit.
