Given that final nominations don't close until the end of Feb, the final draw won't come out until at least March 1.

It's the same every year....

I assume this means a change to the fixtures, probably safe to say not the last.

Does anyone know if the fixtures as they are on the website are now final? I know that we nominated our D grade for C6 and we are in C5 - this grade we play all C grade sides, C6 has more northern based sides and would have thought that clubs who has their A grade higher would play in the higher grades ie PNU and Modbury being D1, even Old Iggies who actually played off in a GF in C5 last season would have at least stayed there?

We also have nearly all of our away games at the same time as the C grade at different ovals which makes support staff a nightmare.

All set subject to teams dropping out I think.

My suspicion when it comes to grading D grades under the new/old/new model is that the balance of convenience regarding oval availability was what made the call. Hardly likely to be a seismic difference if any between C5 and C6

Are Golden Grove not doing the triple headers often but taking advantage of the second oval instead? Might explain it?

Not really concerned about the quality or level of competition of these grades as much as the times we are allocated games and locations - we have fives games scheduled at the same time as the C grade at different away venues. When we are at home we are both at home. I get that its hard to get it all worked out nicely everytime but when the C6 comp is comprised of mostly northern based sides and the C5 is mostly city or south/west of Adelaide it makes sense to at least put Old Iggies in C5 and us in C6. To be honest this wouldn't solve our issue with support staff though, I know sides like UNI, PAOC have this issue every year but its almost expected for them so they are prepared.

The only triple headers we are involved in are for the other sides - we dont have one triple header at Harpers, we havent had one since we've had a D grade side. Apart from the 5 games we clash and our 9 home games - with c3 only having 16 games (meaning 2 byes) the rest of the games our C grade play before our D grade. Late in last season we had a few players double up games (playing D grade then C grade) because of numbers, how does this work if the C grade plays first do you know? I am almost certain I have played C grade games in the past and at half time opposition B grade players have rocked up and played the rest of the game - I could be wrong though?
