Henley would be pretty disappointed to go straight back down again!

I think the current top 6 are safe. PAOC have a much healthier % and I expect them to beat Adelaide Uni this week and not be in contention for relegation. It will be very close between Henley, Uni and Athelstone. Raggies still have to play Modbury a second time, which means these 3 teams are only separated by %. It will come down to two games;

Round 15 Athelstone v Henley
Round 17 Uni v Henley

Would be a massive achievement if Athelstone managed to stay up.

I reckon the current gap between 9th and 10th and the domination of St Peters in Div 2 is a good argument for only one up one down next year

The current gap between 9th and 10th only exists because Salisbury North were docked points which kept Modbury in Div 1. Two up and two down works fine

Don't know where to ask but what's the difference between a panel umpire and a recreational umpire?

Panel umpires train and are part of the "official" umpire group.. rec umpires are "social" umpires - generally former club B grade umpires etc. or retired players looking for a buck on the weekend.

Tend to agree, best SPOC I've seen and I reckon wouldn't be far off the mark in D1.

Fantastic game of footy athelstone had all the momentum and a strong lead into the last quarter after being behind most of the 1st half

Only 5 minutes left looked like a raggies win then 4 inside 50s to henley saw johncock kick 2 then ebert for the lead 30 metres out in front of goal his foot actually slipped in the mud on the run up and the kick hit the point post out on the full it and it looked like game done surely no time left

Another final minute came an another inside 50 to henley and johncock marks 35 out in the outer eastern southern end pocket... slots his third goal in 5 minutes put sharks in front!!! Haha

It went into the raggies 50 after couldnt see what happened

Sharks survive! Eeeeek [-o< [-o<

Raggies were absolutely super too =D>

That's a massive win for the Sharks and almost guarantees they will stay up.

Round 17 clash will decide who goes down. Uni will need to beat Henley. If they can't, I'm tipping they will go down with Athelstone sneaking past them on percentage after they beat Modbury in round 18.

Big shock with Port Districts beating ROCS for a second time this season. Dizzies are locked in a three way go with PNU and PAOC for 4th and 5th. Princes have a really tough draw against Goodwood, Port Districts and ROCS. Even though they are all home games, I'm tipping they might be the ones to miss out.

TTG 12.15 d Henley 9.9. Sharks were 5 points up at 3/4 time, but Gullies coming home with breeze got it done in a very tough contest.
