Adelaide Footy League Division 2 - 2018

So what's the story with Phos and their redevelopment?
Not playing any games this year at Camden while it's been done I'm hearing. New club rooms and all being built.

Can anyone elaborate?

I have some info. Complete redevelopment of ground and clubrooms. Birkalla have a new synthetic pitch going in which needs very good drainage which is pointless if ours isn't up to scratch. Old home changeroom remains as storage. New rooms stretch along the western wing includes 4 changerooms. New bar clubroom etc. will be at the northern end with a verandah out the front. Ground won't be used all of 2018 plus next summer. Hopefully we are in for start of 2019 but as with all thing there has already been a delay as the oval work should already have been started but hopefully they get stuck in soon. I believe we aren't the only club in this position for next year and I'm pretty sure Thebby is going to get a real workout.

Sounds impressive.

We went through the ground redevelopment 5 years ago. Was extremely challenging maintaining good numbers (training and playing away from your ground every week is surprisingly tough) , and keeping the morale of the group up. Financially we struggled as a result too.

Hopefully you guys get through it a bit better than we did.

We did have one of our guys talk to some of yours about the experience. While it’s great having some knowledge I’m not certain we can avoid all the pitfalls but we are trying.

Proud club with a chance to prove me wrong but tbh I haven't checked your ins and outs but kept a close eye on your season last year and what I saw did not impress me. I certainly can't see you getting near the top 3 teams that I have predicted. To get near the top 5 you would need to recruit well and your coach might need to reinvent himself.

Whilst I'm confident in my top 3. 4-10 is a lot of guess work. Based on the clearance lists I see players transferring from 5-6 leagues so it's a fair assumption they will be significantly stronger. Very much unknown some of them but there would have to be some good ins who will bring mates. Wouldn't surprise me if they make the 5 or are fighting relegation. This may be a very even comp. I have Iggs towards the tail and they are being talked up. Gaza I don't expect to do much but they also have a good crop of 18s coming out the Gav Lauder Footy Factory.
7 of these teams have been in Div 1 whilst promoted duo BDOS and GG will be real keen to get there for the first time. Will be a very good div in 2018.
