Just because it has a W an E and an S in its name doesn't really make Walkies very West

We kick off our season tomorrow with trial games against PHOS Camden, will be a decent challenge first up against a Div 2 side while the C grade plays a trial against Seaton. I've blinked and summer is over, really doesn't feel like that long ago we were at Alberton on grand final day. After not playing in any trial games last year and a forgettable cricket season I'm chomping at the bit to play tomorrow.

Looking forward to the challenge that Div 3 will provide us. The club is now in a strong position and has gradually become stronger each year for the last 8 years so hopefully that can continue. The numbers over the preseason have generally been pretty good, a few new recruits, a few players returning and plenty of new kids getting around on the track. I hope we can continue the winning culture through the grades that we built and maintained last year but fully aware that it will be a tough challenge.

Scotch the team to beat this year from what I hear.

North Haven lost by about 2 goals to Seaton on Saturday, B's won by about 25 goals.

I'd heard that Ramblers had lost about 11 first choice players so either what they've got left and picked up after is still quality or you're going to have a long year ;)

Not sure where Seaton are at but they looked [pretty good on the weekend, I don't know a great deal about the standard at Div 3 though.

Their depth might be an issue if they get injuries.
