They'd put it to a vote for the clubs to decide.

@Dutchy - why is The Informer still showing as the informer, instead of his new name?

Did you change the wrong person?

Grimley & Glanville the standouts for me.. Keetch just sluts through the centre square on his own and his team mates make him look a million dollars. ;)

You'd think that Grimley bloke would of learnt how to kick after all these years, at least a drop punt.

Hard as nails, 40+ years old (correct me if im wrong) and still playing good footy. Top bloke as well, very humble and always up for a chat. hopefully he gets another chance at some silverwear before he hangs up the boots for good.

No doubt Atkinson is a good player but is also one of the dirtiest that I have encountered over the years...

In time they would easily become div 4-5 imo. In fairness the quote was about Hackham doing very well in div 6 with their current set up and then I said that if they are to do very well in div 6 then traditionally they would be competitive in div 5. Hackham would get slaughtered with their current line ups in div 5 most agree including numerous texts I’ve received this week from observers of these forums.

So we at hackham whos agrade has 2 teams in the SFLs cgrade division cant even beat flaggies cgrade but we most certainly are of division 6 standard maybe even division 5

Rightio then.

Tell that to trinity & rosewater agrade who are apparently only as good as hackham and couldnt even beat flaggies cgrade either

Dudes.... omg.

Most of us aren’t arguing Marby. The fact Tea Tree Gully’s c grade couldn’t get past the 2nd week of div 7 finals pretty much sums it up. I’d back Tea Tree Gully to have a stronger C grade than Flaggies.

Are you suggesting Flaggies As are D1 standard?

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to suggest that. Tea Tree Gully are as strong as any district football club in SA and their A’s are in the GF in the best standard league in SA. Their reserves missed a GF by 3 kicks and there is also a D grade that missed the reserves GF in div 7r by stuff all. On top of that they have more junior numbers than most Football Clubs in Australia.

Flaggies are a massive club I know and I think they would at very worst be top 3 Div 2 standard. I’m more leaning towards a strong div 1 standard though.

Maybe weighing in late on the discussion but I think OSB and Marion will both be competitive in div 6 with their current sides and I’d predict a mid-table finish for them both. Both sides would need to recruit to be anything more than that and with my limited knowledge form the opinion that Marion would be in a better spot to do that, I base this purely on the facilities they have at their disposal, definitely the best facilities I have seen at the lower level.

My first year of div 7 footy and I seriously think any of the top 5 sides could have won it on their day (heck even the 6th side could have haha).. it was probably the most even division I have played in throughout my career besides flinders and mitchell park (and MP became pretty competitive on the back 9, so really just mainly flinders).

I’m looking forward to next season already, with the crop of young players and the experienced they gained this season at the units I think we are in a pretty good spot!
