Should leave it where it is.

It may be called SANFL but I don't see any Glenelg's, Sturt's, Norwood's etc playing in it.

If it went to the "other leagues" no one would see it or post in it.

95% of the clubs/teams are the grassroot AdFL clubs so I think it's in it's correct place.

Well that's my take.

Exactly right, the disconnect between Senior and Junior footy in town continues to amaze me :?

As in?

Are you referring to separate committee's in the same sporting body?

Juniors and Seniors play for the same club but in many ways it feels like they don't

Not at our football club, CLG. B Grade captain coaches the under 15’s and players are out helping junior teams at trainings

In my experience's the sheer weight of numbers required separate committee's.

Seniors play on Saturday's and have their budgets/ fundraising etc.
Juniors play on Sundays and you could have up to 10-15 teams to manage.

It just makes sense to not burn people out.

When I was chairman of a club we had senior footy, junior footy, cricket, netball, darts, tennis and 8-ball that all had their own committee's, had to keep their own books and would present and report them to our monthly Sports and Social Club committee meeting.

I can understand being in a country league that it can fit under the one umbrella.

Yep, that's what builds strong "club cultures".

I've been involved with Smithfield, Angle Vale, West Croydon, Fitzroy, Salisbury North, Flinders Park and Elizabeth throughout juniors and they all are run very much the same.

Any club functions are open to both junior and senior people, the quiz night was huge and close to a 50/50 split.

Not long until our 15’s start playing seniors so there needs to be a ‘bond’

Yeah, that's how it should be.

I must say it pissed me off with a couple of clubs I mentioned how much the kids rego & weekly fees were compare to what they got in return as far as training aids, weekly awards, presentation day and trophies, more so knowing what coin was getting thrown at senior players.

Too often junior funds are used to prop up senior footy as many seniors don't pay subs, sure enough the senior home matches generate money over the bar but I've seen it all mistreated.

Our committees are great, they work so hard especially the President and Football Director.

It’s always the case where some ‘junior money’ is funnelled into senior football, really that’s why football clubs exist. There are big costs in running a football club that people don’t realise and that is not including player payments.
