Their top 15 may be pretty handy but i think depth may be an issue this season. Their B Grade havent been travelling too well which often makes it a difficult task when you start getting injuries in your A Grade. Cobb played in their B Grade when we played against them a couple of weekends ago!

Anyone would of thought that the umpires at the PHOS v Modbury game in the reserves yesterday had come from the soccer pitch next door!. Handing out yellow and red cards like they were bidding at an auction, reckon it was 6.

Take it up with the Umpires Coach. No wait, one of the umpires was the Umpires Coach!

Was told 5 x yellow to Modbury and 1 x red to Phos. Was the game taped?

I dont believe so. It was a game with a lot of push on shove and niggling, but i wouldnt say it was violent. Just alot of silly undisciplined acts (bumps after someone had disposed, not releasing a tackle once the ball had spilt out). This led to a a lot of players becoming frustrated and agitated which led to retaliation (pushing and shoving). It was evident early in the games to all those watching that the umpires werent going to accept push and shove/ niggling, it just wasnt evident to the players out there apparently hence all the cards.

Anyway, all in all it was a pleasure to see Phos' new club rooms and facilities on the day, they have a very impressive set up now which will only get better as the oval gets resurfaced and other additions. It will be one of the better grounds to watch football from!

Great to finally get in the new rooms not without some teething problems but that was to be expected when we got the keys on Thursday. Will be very happy after the oval gets resurfaced and we have surrounds landscaped but it is a huge step in the right direction.

I thought your staff were handling things really well, they were being very hard on themselves and seemed stressed about how frantic it all was but i didnt wait long at all for food or drinks. Popped in for a beer after the A's and the place was heaving, no doubt it only ramped up as the night went on.

West Torrens? You'd just about be on the border wouldn't you?

I've just been reliably informed that WTC doesn't pay for Thebby.

SANFL and Federal Govt do

Right on the border. Pretty sure the council are paying for surrounds (Bowls club etc.) They have been pretty good actually.

Pretty horrible scenes down at Phos today. Poor Jacquier with a nasty leg break at the end of the 3rd. Wasn’t pretty. Hopefully it was just a clean break, and nothing too complicated.

Watched first half of sn and modbury. Modbury much too quick and structure around contests made SN look stupid. SN full of big names who didn't want to work hard.
