Would expect Walkerville to win fairly comfortably.

D4 would be a similar standard to that comp I’d think. D4 reserves would be a fair bit better.

Hope Valley is heading up to Whyalla to play in a mini round robin with 3 other clubs. Apparently , if this goes off ok, a carnival might end up being an annual thing.

I can't road trip at the moment because of the cat, so i'll probably go and watch the Raggies v PNU game. Always entertaining.
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

BSR who have played in the gf last 7 years in a row are different kettle of fish in that comp. ;)

Top 8 players have all played with SANFL league or ressies and are all between 24-26 years old.

Last year in the trials played what was apfl reigning premiers Malalla and didn’t concede a goal in 6 quarters.

Ambulance at Ingle Farm v Kersbrook trial
Horrendous sling tackle by Ingle Farm player
Footy has a long way to go with half the crowd complaining it was a good tackle
If that was a recorded game he wouldve got 4-6 weeks.

Lol you enjoy watching the game coz no one will play your rabble of a club in a trial? Keep throwing shade champ.

Was not a great tackle, agreed - first impressions by some of the crowd were they thought it was a good tackle.. “half the crowd” is a laugh.

Ambulance was called precautionary measures, it’s never good seeing someone KO’d, but he was fine and enjoyed his girlfriend’s birthday celebrations that night. I can also assure you that there was incredible concern by all especially the player involved who was visible shaken by it.

We had 3x umpires - all the players cousin, and the goal umpire 15m away was his dad.. yet aside from a free kick not one of the 4 found there to be more in it than you’re suggesting.

In no way shifting the blame for the incident either, but the player has a bit of work to do in protecting himself and being prepared for contact.

Overall, it was a good day at the club though, Modbury were awesome in the early game, and Kersy really good bunch for the late game - and was great to have a beer and chat with them post game.

Now **** off. 8)

Rosewater had half a dozen out too, Just like majority of clubs in trials, Starting to wonder if there is even a point to them.

I’ve thought for ages they are over rated.. but must say the two trials we have had have been enjoyable days and if nothing else has created some buzz and increase in commitment on the track by players.

Depends what you're trying to get out of the trials. If you're looking to see how some younger guys ago against some bigger bodies, then it's worthwhile. Like you said, helps create a bit of competition at training for the available spots.

If you're using it as a gauge for the season to come, total waste of time, given most clubs don't play their key players.

Playing a couple of trials, normally at least 3 quarters each for A and B Grade there is enough time to test some structure out, see how some blokes go and then also find some time to throw blokes around have a bit of fun before shit gets real. Nothing beats seeing your full backs reaction when the runner goes up to him and says 'have ten in the forward line' youve never seen them run so fast.

I always found it was nice to have a run around without and scoreboard pressure and just enjoy the day for what it is.
