Are you sure Pooraka were at full strength ?
Why a club would have half their side out 7 days before the opening game of the year in a 9 round season beggars belief.

Great point this! Yesterday was a unique environment. Whilst the result doesn’t matter in the grand context of things, the effort put out yesterday definitely does. If you don’t get the shit out of the system pretty quickly your season could be over in 2-3 weeks.

If you also have the attitude that this year means nothing then I suspect those who take this approach will recover far slower. The next 4 months are critical for every club.

Im not sure why but they both agreed to play a 6qtr trial. Salisbury had a couple play all 6 qtrs not sure how many from Fitzroy did.

Scores were almost even at the 10 minute mark of the last, Mitcham kicked the last few to win by around 5 goals

No talk of Lockleys trial game against Rosewater, anyone see the game? I have two questions:
1 - Lots of talk about Lockleys here in all grades! What team do we fancy most to stop them?
2 - Bray Raf is a loved player at Lockleys will he make an A grade appearance this year after his B grade B and F last year?

Wouldn't it be ironic if lockleys make the GF this year and don't get promoted. Countless missed opportunities in the past few years, some might even say they have choked, with no pressure this season to get a promotion they are clear favorites.
