Im hearing a whisper that the Thunder are in the process of trying to move to Ethelton oval. Have long been saying this is a must for the club to survive. Their current oval/clubrooms have no community around them so its very hard to attract juniors which has the flow on to the seniors. Its a awesome oval and wouldn't take much to get the clubrooms up n running. Fingers crossed

A lot of History at Pt Reserve, Riverside and Alberton United sharing the oval, { 2 clubs sharing an oval, that wouldnt happen very often or at all} Both teams were very strong in their heyday playing A1 as it was known as back then.

Has definitely happened before. Not too often though as you suggested.

Exeter & Semaphore Central before they merged to become Port Districts. There would be others that shared an oval but can't think of any more who both had clubrooms at the same oval.

NAB & Unley used to share Kingswood oval in the late 80's/early 90's, was a bit weird as both teams were in the same Div for a fair portion of it.

CLG and Kenilworth shared Mortlock Park in the early to mid 90’s. There would be quite a few Parklands grounds also I would have thought. Going broader I know Mildura and Imperials co share City Oval in Mildura.

I haven’t been up there for a while but when I played up there many years ago, North had their change rooms under the old stand and South’s were in the Rec centre. Would have changed a bit by now though I presume

Not sure building a new club room and moving ovals would be high on Portland’s agenda atm

What’s the rules these days? 3 forfeits and then removed from competition?
