Lockleys win the flag in 2020 then sack their coach.

In 2021 they miss out on finals, Karma.

Obviously can never make up for losing a flag, but reckon Kenilworth would feel pretty chuffed and gain some degree of vengeance being the side that stopped Lockleys progressing to the major round this year.

Understand that the league has done an awesome job organizing this but Kenilworth v CLG at Hope Valley is a bit odd. Mitcham seems a more logical choice.

Actually closer for SMOSH to go to Hope Valley than to Mitcham.

Oh come on, in the tightest grade in the comp they finish 5th and with one more win they finish 2nd.
They still play finals as of 3 weeks ago, unlucky the good ole Covid cropped up.

Handy for volunteers/players involved with Kenilworth to be only 15 minutes away from our A grade.
Hopefully we get out there around qtr time!

This would've been todays phone call if your logic prevailed:

JK: G'day Clappy, commiserations on missing the finals by .06% mate, are you up to hosting next weekend?

Clappy: Sure, why not

JK: Great, we'll give you Pembroke v SMOSH, just to rub it in

Clappy: F*** off JK.

Definately can't complain considering some of the ovals we have been to.
It's generally been fantastic all year. Outer wing can soften after a lot off rain, but even then it's not that bad

Should we expect a bog heap at hope valley if we get the forecast rain?

I'd expect it to still hold up better than most suburban grounds. But the far wing might sloppy

Not sure, won't have a lot of traffic on it this week. With all that rain could be a little soft. muddy in the middle by the last game. Have 2 centre circles, i each side of the pitch, maybe save one for the A grade.

You'd think this would be one of the main reasons for the venue selection. Would be harsh with supporters/volunteers having to trek across town in between games, and they've tried to do this across all divs with both games on the Saturday. Thebby/Richmond for Div 1, St Marys/Glenelg for Div 2, Payneham/Campbelltown for Div 3, Salisbury/Elizabeth for Div 6. Good work by the league to make it easier for club people.

Despite the loss, Lockleys saved a bit of money on Saturday I'm hearing. About 25-30 beers worth?

1/2 an inch of rain after the weather this week will cause no issues at all. 6 weeks ago different story!
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Yeah was unfortunate the Kenilworth blokes all forgot our masks. So to abide by COVID rules we had to go straight home!

Feel your pain. Last year for finals we were at Kenilworth @ 2:30, Salisbury @12:30 and Eastern Park 10:15.
