Have the Crabs ever been above Div 7?

Mid to Late 90’s they were in Div 5 as we played against them at North Haven.

Around those times there was the Premier/Amateur set up and also a lot of North/South comps. I’d still reckon they would have been the equivalent of A6 or A7 at best.

It was around that time but North Haven were never lower than Div 5 so it must have been Div 5.
I remember the game as it was at the Uni and it’s the only time I’ve ever played there.

I looked it up, FU won the 2002 Div 7 GF then finished bottom in Div 6 the following year and were relegated.

Just looked it up. 1995 A5 South - Was a hybrid D5 North/South comp and not the traditional set up. Realistically the bottom end sides would have been of a typical D6 standard.

I was looking through the 90s history but couldn't find what year it was. Good work LK.

That’s the one mate.
It was A5 but a compromised standard due to the changes that year.
From memory we smashed them.

GF was at Kenilworth from memory. Havens got rolled in both - CLG in the A’s and I reckon Mitcham in the B’s?

Yep.
We were 3-4 goals up at halftime in the A’s and the umpire came in our rooms at half time and said he’s sending a player off for headbutting and we couldn’t replace him, so had to play with 17 players in the 2nd half.
Our heads dropped and CLG eventually ran over us to win by 2-3 goals.

Before the premiership in 2017 the last A grade premiership at NH (previously PAPFC) was in 1985 so the flag in 2017 broke a 32 year drought.
