87.11 isn't even paid as a dangerous tackle, the umpire clearly signals high tackle. The player isn't carded either.

Interesting the last one got a red. Thought he might have gotten yellow like the first two.

I don't think any of the 4 had intent to harm, but the three that were paid, only the 2nd seems incorrect to me.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

It is interesting to note the emphasis from HQ, where it is the POTENTIAL to cause injury that has HQ concerned, rather that the INTENT as per above

Very different considerations

Potential to cause injury as distinct from actual injury. The Tribunal handbook deals with that under "Impact"

Intentional as distinct from Careless has its own gradings as per the Tribunal handbook under "Conduct"

Unley d North Haven by 10 goals.

North Haven had 2 yellow cards and a Red card for dangerous tackles.

They will miss a few games.

10 goals? The A grade margin was actually 43 points but never let the truth get in the way of a good story I suppose.

Personally I haven't seen the umpires be as hot on the dangerous tackles as they were yesterday but looking at the tribunal listings so far this season it's obviously been a focus and it just so happened that their was 4 (3 in the A grade and 1 in the C grade) incidents involving dangerous tackles during the games yesterday.

Our first trip to Kingswood in 13 years was a forgettable one.

It will get a bit worse. Another player was reported by an official for off ball incident in the second quarter. Red Card !

Many questionable tackles from both sides, ranging from red card to holding the ball, more confused than ever as to what is acceptable and what’s not

Could be some holidays coming up for them. Looked like N Haven were missing some of their play makers from round 1. Covid I assume, seems to be ongoing with the footy. Some interesting stats on players used this year I suspect.

They are back this weekend against Henley - anticipating a large crowd to be there.

Big day expected at Athelstone tomorrow!!! We get the honour of being the first away club to use the away changerooms. Normally I don’t like the drive out to Athelstone but this week I can’t wait to check out these new club rooms!!! Should be a cracker of a day. Always have great battles against The Raggies
