We did kick a goal and it was not called.

Really hurt us as I thought that we were on a roll at that point. Could have changed the game if they called it.

Wasn't to be.

We stand behind the coaches

Might help to be out on the oval instead mate?

Ladder after Round 13
24 - Trinity OS
18 - West Croydon
16 - Marion
13 - Central United
10 - Brahma Lodge
----------------------------------

09 - Rosewater
08 - Fitzroy
04 - Ingle Farm
02 - Para Hills

Round 14:
Para Hills vs West Croydon
Fitzroy vs Trinity OS
Marion vs Central United
Rosewater vs Ingle Farm
Brahma Lodge - BYE

Busy end of the season nearing, only 5 rounds to go, and for most sides that equates to just the 4 games. Trinity 3 wins clear on top, all but have the minor premiership sewn up - you'd have to think this week against Fitzroy that'll happen. Barring an absolute catastrophe, it would appear the top 4 are locks for finals, and top 3 pretty well set in my opinion.

Rosewater and Fitzroy are still within striking distance, Brahma Lodge looking the likely casualty from the current upper part of the table if anyone will make room for them.

Para Hills continue to struggle but are having a crack, the Roos would be eyeing the local derby next week against Ingle Farm as their chance to record one more win for the year, whilst the Farmers on the other hand have also battled this season with depth but should be confident of claiming a couple of scalps before seasons end.

Longer the season goes, the more I fancy a Trinity OS vs Marion Grand Final, and wouldn't be discounting Fitzroy of doing some damage. These are the three sides that possess the best combination of leg speed, attacking power, sound game plan and a reasonable defence.

Central United, West Croydon, Brahma Lodge and even Rosewater (limited sample size) appear to play very similar brands of football - and seem content with backing themselves to kick more goals than the opposition over restricting score. It's makes for great viewing, and results in heavy scores or big blow outs but not sold it'll stack up come finals.

2023:
Bit to play out of course, but assuming 2 up, 2 down, next year could see TOS and let's say Marion make way for St Pauls and Salisbury.. and Ingle Farm and Para Hills out for Greenacres and Houghton.

Geez if this year has close travel, imagine how good next season would be!

Trinitys toughest games to finish the season will be Fitzroy and West Croydon and they beat them both easily last time around.
Not sure Trinity will lose a game this year.
With only 3 undefeated A grade teams left. Trinity would be the favorites of the 3 to remain undefeated.
There’s Golden Grove Div 3, Trinity Div 6, Greenacres Div 7

Perhaps they had an off week the other week against Ingle Farm, but I thought West Croydon looked like they'd gone backwards from earlier in the year in the A grade.

Looked a side that was a little selfish and terribly unfit. Skill level looked as though non one had trained in weeks - struggled to hit targets, hold marks and finish in front of goals.

They were very lucky that Ingle Farm are having a tough season, a better side would've put them to the sword.

How is Chad Bourke going at Fitzroy this season? A gun in his day, but still pretty handy in Div 6, I would think?

A lot changes over 10yrs.. a lot remains the same. Interesting seeing where each club in D6 has gone over the past decade.

5/9 clubs have spent time in D7
7/9 clubs have spent time in D5 (or higher)
2/9 clubs have spent time in D4 - then opted to drop divisions from memory.

Most clubs have spent majority of the decade in this division - and had it not been for circumstances such as covid season with no promotion/relegation, that percentage may have been higher.

Woody South (now coached by Knowles who was IF coach in 2012) won the flag. Now they're in D4
Mawson Lakes (coached by current SPOC coach Riddler) were mid table and played finals. Now they're struggling in D7.
Lockleys (under zed) were a consistent D6 club mid table that seemed to always play finals but could never win any. Now they're in D5.
Blackfriars now D5 - from memory played off in the 2014 D6 GF against Rosewater?
CLG now D5
Adel Uni Z grade, guessing now they're in C something
Houghton with a young Liam Davis were relegated, and are currently in D7 towards the top of the tree.
